Taking a Vacation

Congenial is Taking Some Time Off

Congenial turned sixteen in 2006. We celebrated again in 2007. And now it is time for us to take a little time off.

Sixteen Candles

With people moving on, changes in the hotel industry, and people being ever more careful with their resources as to what conventions they can and cannot attend, the staff and I decided to take some time off and look at our options. Where do we want Congenial to go? What do we want to do and not do at the event? What facilities do we have available? Do we want to stay in the spring or move elsewhere in the year?

And, to be honest, do we have the time and effort to keep this thing going?

So while we make up our minds about the future, Congenial goes on hiatus. You have all been wonderful to us all these years, and I really want to thank each and every one of you. You are why we've done this as long as we have, and why we are thinking about how to do it again.

We have a LiveJournal Community where you can exchange information, make suggestions, and get the latest news and gossip about the convention.

I look forward to seeing everyone sometime soon!
